Clinical Supervision

What are you looking for in Supervision of your counselling work?  I know what I look for and I aim to provide this for you.

It is through extensive experiences of my supervision that I have an idea of what makes a good supervisor and one that is not so good.

I also know that one size does not fit all. I believe the relationship between us is of paramount importance, a good relationship will mean we will work together effectively.

If you decide to try supervision with me I would aim to provide you with :-.

  • -    A place for you to explore the difficulties and challenges in your counselling work

  • -    Time to explore what may be impacting on your clinical work.

  • -    A chance to look ahead at your professional development needs

  • -    A watchful eye on your stress levels and self care needs.

  • -    To  treat you with an awareness and respect of your previous knowledge and experiences.

  • -    I will challenge you when you need it, in a supportive, constructive way.

  • -    I am open to constructive feedback on my supervision provision.

  • -    An interest in what is going well in your clinical work as well as what is not going so well

  • -    I am someone who keeps myself professionally aware and updated.

  • -    You will find me boundaried, yet flexible when needed.

  • -    I work ethically within my own professional organisations ethical framework,(NCS) however I am happy to explore and work with your counselling organisations ethical framework.

I welcome and encourage your views, looking at any areas you may need me to do differently.

I have experience of supervising in an NHS setting with Cancer and Palliative care nurses.

My Supervision qualification - OCN Certificate in Counselling Supervision covers working across other counselling modalities. .

My Fee for Supervision is £55 for 90mins.  Counselling Students please enquire about reduced rates.
